A former high school teacher at Soledad High School in Soledad, Marina Ramirez Rico, has been arrested for having s*x with a minor.

Marina Ramirez, 34, of Greenfield CA, was booked on five felony counts of having s*x with a minor after she was caught on video having relations with a 15-year-old student.

Rico was booked into the Monterey County Jail and was released on $50,000 bail.

Currently a teacher at Main Street Middle School, the incident occurred when Rico was teaching at Soledad High School. The superintendent for Soledad Unified School District has placed her on administrative leave after her arrest.

According to police, the case against Rico emerged while authorities served a search warrant at the victim’s home in relation to a weapons case. During the search, video of the encounter between the teacher and the student was found on the victim’s phone.

When detectives found Rico and she was taken into custody, more evidence was found of the crime.
