Raymond woman killed in Hinds County crash

On the evening of Sunday, September 15, a tragic single-vehicle crash in Hinds County resulted in the death of a Raymond woman. The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. on Highway 18 West near Tom Collins Road.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), the accident involved a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado, which was traveling westbound on Highway 18. For reasons still under investigation, the driver of the vehicle lost control, causing the truck to overturn.

The driver, identified as 55-year-old Tisha Cummings of Raymond, was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover. Emergency responders arrived on the scene, but Cummings had already sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the site of the crash.
